I wish they made a C30 replacement instead of another coupe.

I almost had one of my best friends in a C30 R-Design but, he bought a FiST instead. I’ve always loved the C30 rear window.

I think one of the Mustangs with the big wheels would match up better

If they still made one when I was looking for a car, there’s a good chance I would be driving one of those instead of a FoST...

Could still happen. The Concept Estate may have been the inspiration for the new V90/V60, but it would be basically a ready-made replacement for the C30 if they wanted to just go with it:

I think the big problem is just that Volvo ba dly needed to refresh their whole lineup, it it’s pretty obvious that the low-volume C30 and C70 would have to be last, if indeed they got done at all.

I’d take both. But I’d have to get 5-spoke simple wheels (not sure Volvo’s infamous Pegasus wheels would work, but might be worth a try) on the Polestar. 4/8 -spoke just don’t work and look too pinwheely. Which also conjures a slight swastika reference but not blatantly.

The Pegasus is my all time favorite wheel. These are complex but, I think that they work well for the car. It also is the Polestar logo which is cool.

I bet it looks stunning in person but the renders look like shit.

I briefly considered swapping Pegasus wheels for my Neptune set on my XC90 (but instead just got updated center caps), and kept waffling back and forth on them back when I had my 760 Turbo Wagon. They just look so damn good!

I get the idea behind the Polestar wheels, I just like my wheels to have at least 5 lugs (if not a hub-centric lock like a Carrera GT) and at least 5 spokes to match. The slots cut into the machined face on the Polestar’s wheel give a suggestion of a swastika which I’m not a fan of due to a certain group’s appropriation of the symbol.

You don’t like Nazis? No one does.

I kinda see where you're coming from but, I think it's just a clever design. I don't think that the Chinese owned Swedish brand is openly protraying a swastika

It seems we reached peak “every coupe looks like an accord coupe” and now we’re at “every coupe looks like a mustang.” I can’t say I disagree.

Nor do I, but there’s enough to hint from (unintentionally) that it’s hard to un-see. Much like a kid’s pinwheel in that way.
